Brisben Water Technologies Receives U.S. Patent on Portable Hydrodynamic Cavitation Manifold

Patented Cavitation Manifold Technology Enables Uniform Fluid Mixing and Blending

STUART, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 12/02/14 -- Brisben Water (OTCQB: ESPH), a U.S. technology licensing and innovative manufacturing company, today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued a formal Notice of Allowance for Patent # 8,858,064 which is a process patent for a portable hydrodynamic cavitation manifold assembly. This newest patented invention relates to fluid handling and, more specifically, to a portable hydrodynamic cavitation manifold for use in providing a uniform fluid mixture and non-chemical water treatment process to treat waters used during hydraulic fracturing operations.

Brisben Water's patented hydrodynamic cavitation mixing manifold is an integral part of the patented Ozonix® process that allows the thorough turbulent mixing and blending of produced and flowback waters, with other surface waters and or waters from a reserve pit prior to Ozonix® treatment. In addition to being able to blend the various surface waters with recycled produced and flowback waters, the patented hydrodynamic cavitation manifold creates hydroxyl radicals (OH-), peroxone and super oxidants that further reduce the need for liquid chemical biocides.

To date, Brisben Water's patented hydrodynamic cavitation manifold technology has been successfully used to blend fluids for approximately 300 Ozonix® well sites in Arkansas (Fayetteville Shale) with 24 Ozonix® EF10 systems that Fidelity National Environmental Solutions ("FNES") owns and operates. Furthermore, Brisben Water's hydrodynamic cavitation manifold technology has since been incorporated into all Ozonix® EF80 products that have been manufactured and deployed to the field.

Dennis McGuire, Chairman and CEO of Brisben Water Technologies, stated, "The receipt of our portable hydrodynamic cavitation manifold patent demonstrates that the U.S. Patent Office has recognized our position as being a leader in the development of Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP) and mixing manifold technologies for use in treating and recycling various sources of water used during hydraulic fracturing operations. Prior to developing this important technology, we experienced numerous challenges and limitations with the industry standard manifold that connects various water sources to a spread of frac tanks, which prevented us from properly homogenizing fluids and reducing bacteria colonies before entering our Ozonix® process."

McGuire continued, "Our newly patented hydrodynamic cavitation manifold technology is just another testament to the vast engineering, manufacturing and technical capabilities that Brisben Water has to develop synergistic technologies and products to support our customers in the field. With 7 approved U.S. patents since 2008 and approximately 14 patents pending for our Ozonix® technology, Brisben Water has and will continue to lead the Oil & Gas industry in bringing patented and proven water treatment technologies to the well site to allow our customers to increase production and reduce their use of chemicals."

In November 2014, the Company announced a technical study of 155 natural gas wells, prepared by Optimal Data Analysis, LLC (Authors: Paul R. Yarnold, Ph.D, Jamar Blackmon, Ph.D. and Parag Gogate, Ph.D.), that assessed the comparative efficacy of water treatment methods for 96 wells treated using Brisben Water Technologies' patented Ozonix® technology versus 59 wells treated using liquid Chemical Biocide in the Fayetteville Shale of Arkansas. The study relied on public information filed with the State of Arkansas and included wells that Brisben Water's patented mixing manifold technology was used on.

Findings established that the use of Brisben Water's patented Ozonix® technology in water treatment for the hydraulic fracturing of natural gas wells resulted in broadly greater productivity than liquid Chemical Biocide treatment, significantly greater overall gas production achieved in the first two months of post-fracturing operations, and consistently greater gas production and monetary returns across all 12 months of post-fracturing operations.

Since 2008, Fidelity National Environmental Solutions, a company in which Brisben Water owns approximately 31%, has enabled oil and gas customers to treat, recycle and reuse over 5 billion gallons of water for approximately 1,200 oil and natural gas wells, protecting $5+ billion worth of well assets, and generating approximately $70 million in revenue utilizing Brisben Water's patented Ozonix® technology.
